What about Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte?

I can find very little online about them. It is most Ft Myers and Lee County which obviously got smashed by Ian but ..

The eye went right between, or really close to between, Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte right up Charlotte Harbor. Wasn't Jim Cantori there?

Charlotte County is almost 200k people but the news is scarce.

We don't pay for cable news. Has much been said about them? Anything?

I haven't heard about casualties.

But I heard the harbor was basically sucked dry, then all the water came up on the waterfront. The hospital was damaged and a lot of stores too. Many houses battered and flooded, but it sounds like it wasn't as bad as in Ft. Myers.

was down in Punta Gorda, he says they escaped the worst of the tidal surge. Check him out on twitter, he posts great stuff, without any hype.
