This is what stood out for me:

'...Texas governor Greg Abbott and Arizona governor Doug Ducey invoked the Emergency Management Assistance Compact...Abbott has declared a disaster and Ducey an emergency over the influx of migrants to the U.S.-Mexico border, saying that the Biden administration is “unwilling or unable” to secure the border...Iowa governor Kim Reynolds, Nebraska governor Pete Ricketts, and Florida governor Ron DeSantis all pledged to send law enforcement to Texas and Arizona; South Dakota governor Kristi Noem one-upped them by announcing that she would send 50 South Dakota National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border and that billionaires Willis and Reba Johnson from Franklin, Tennessee, would pay for the troops.'

And this: 'Putin has to reckon with reality, in the form of Russian men fleeing the country, protests in Dagestan and elsewhere, the international community standing firm on the law, and Ukrainian forces continuing to gain ground. Less than a day after Putin announced he had taken the Ukrainian regions, Russian troops fled from the key transport city of Lyman.'

And this: 'Whether DeSantis and the Republican Party will have to reckon with reality in 2022 remains unclear...they have refused to comment on Trump’s inflammatory statement about Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), which seemed to encourage violence against him and included a racist smear against McConnell’s wife, Trump transportation secretary Elaine Chao.'

1. What stands out to me

those Magat governors are giving the unwashed Magats exactly what they want.

If DUers don't live among the Magats, like I do, they haven't a clue what Trump unleashed upon America. A huge % of America has always been racist, bigoted, misogynist, you name it, and Trump brought all of them out of the closet.

If Magats gain control of our federal government they will imprison or murder their rivals. There will be no more Democratic Underground where we can come to be together. We will have to meet in backrooms, in basements.

If you don't have to deal with Magats on a daily basis you haven't a clue what they are like.

This is why I have been so adamant on holding them all accountable, and our window for doing so is slowly closing.
