Why Romney's 'dog on car roof' story makes him unfit to be president - By Lanny Davis

Why Romney's 'dog on car roof' story makes him unfit to be president

......................

During the trip, the Boston Globe reported, Romney’s oldest son, Tagg, looked around through the rear window and yelled, “Dad — gross!” A brown liquid was dripping down the back window — diarrhea from an animal that just might have been caused by the stress of being inside a cage for 12 hours on top of a car going 60 mph.

.................................

Here’s how the Globe described what Romney then did:

“As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.”
Emotion-free crisis management??!

Here’s one dog lover’s opinion — mine:

I think anyone who puts his dog in a cage on top of a car for a 12-hour drive and then deludes himself or tries to delude others that the dog really enjoyed it — to me, with all due respect, I feel such a man shouldn’t be president of the United States.

Plutonized or something to that affect. ...but really ...you know I despise fox links....Okay ....so let me try and figure this all out.....sounds like the concept will have legs... I'll watch Bill Maher again. I love Rob Reiner.

unfit to be a member of the human race.
That smirky, creepy laugh he has when queried about this incident is off the charts too.
His "yuk" factor is 100% in my book.
What's with Mrs. Romney in all this? If my husband tried to do this shit, there would be a scene (and I would win) or there would be a divorce.

though I'm nonetheless glad the story is getting revisited. Cruel and clueless-- a really bad combination.

During the Dem primary in 2008 he revealed himself to be an epic douche, and I will not high-five him even if he's right on this. Ugh.

13. He has the spectacular lack of empathy that marks a true and exemplary Republican leader.

He's not fit from our point of view, but from their point of view he's perfect. And notice that his children objected- indicating that they were born with empathy, but by now its probably been brutalized out of them.

God what a stupid sick man doing that to an animal, a beautiful dog too. He doesn't seem to be too worried about the incident either.
