Covid booster help correct covid mouth?

A friend of mine got covid last year lost her taste and smell. She recently got the covid booster for Omicron after the shot she got the Metalic taste in her mouth First thing she tasted in 14 months basically. She is now finding she is tasting some foods again. It isn't perfect and she still doesn't have smell, but she can taste some foods.

She is convivence it is from the new booster. Is it possible or is there a different reason. I ask because as some of you know I am suffering from taste issue after first round of covid.

I, too, experienced taste issues. It seems okay now. I just drank some plain milk, and it seemed to have no taste. So I'm not sure if I cannot taste bland food.

What is your lack of taste like? You've had covid more than once. It's been about 7 weeks since we had covid.

I still can't drink water. Taste like I am drinking rotten eggs or water that has been contaminated. I can only tolerate a few sips.

stuff is too bitter like chocolate- even milk chocolate I spit it out because it is so bitter.

Milk and our cream our sour like they have expired.

Citrus cannot tolerate

most veggies are too bitter or sour.

I can't eat meat late afternoon or evening for some reason. It is weird. Morning early afternoon I eat a piece of meat and I am fine. But late afternoon evening I get so sick.

Cheese and bread have no taste and I have been sticking to that.. which isn't good but it is what I can tolerate.

If I can drink water again, I will gladly give up hope on all the other foods. It is water I miss the most.

Unpleasantness. First i've heard of such a reaction to covid.
The only couple times when ive ever had lack of taste was when i was sick w bad cold or flu.

I'm convinced anything could hide in our sinuses, cavities, ears. I never had a cleaning like covid. I feel great and breathe easier.

when I get the booster if it does anything for the parosmia. Mine is not extreme - I just can't taste much (I can only tell if something is spicy, for instance, because my mouth tingles) and for a while everything smelled like bad onions. It would be a bummer if I couldn't drink water!
