I would love to see ALL Democrats hold a news conference, CHALLENGING the RETHUGS to accept giving another stimulus CK. BEFORE election, PLUS include LOW price prescriptions for all, and include ANYTHING else to help people during this inflation period!! I feel this would be a win win situation. Just before election time. Would this be possible?

1. No. Trumpists will do absolutely nothing to help (even indirectly) the Biden admin, Dems, nor

the American people if it does not mean a one-sided victory for them. Just look at all the bills they have voted against/blocked to that effect. They don't care and that we still do not understand their ruthlessness may well be our undoing.

My goal was to show ONE last time BEFORE election, that Democrats CARE, and would pass THIS. I believe that if the Dems would have a BREAKING news event, SHOWING to the American people, (undecided) who is actually supporting THEM!! Maybe it would be an event that would get them to vote the big D!! By doing this it would make the rethugs look very bad! We need to try one last time to get people to see the true story of just exactly who SUPPORTS them. Just my thoughts here.

3. Not gonna happen....

.... and rightly so. Horrible idea, both economically and politically.

Previous stimulus checks were a good idea. They were needed at the time to keep the economy from collapsing.

Continuing to inject large amounts of cash into an economy that's already in a high inflation state is going to exacerbate the problem - after all, you are directly increasing the "demand" side of the supply/demand equation.

I'm not saying there aren't people being hurt by current inflation, there certainly are. But stimulus checks now would be a very short term band-aid that would ultimately make the problem worse.

Politically, republicans would seize on this action to portray democrats as incompetent to manage the economy. And they wouldn't be wrong, it would be a totally bone-headed move.
