Herschel Walker's Negatives Are Skyrocketing As Raphael Warnock Opens Up 5 Point Lead
https://www.politicususa.com/2022/10/27/herschel-walker-raphael-warnock-poll.html
Posted on Thu, Oct 27th, 2022 by Jason Easley Herschel Walker’s Negatives Are Skyrocketing As Raphael Warnock Opens Up 5 Point Lead A new poll shows Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) with a 5-point lead over a plummeting Herschel Walker. From the Monmouth University Poll: Warnock holds a net positive rating of 51% favorable to 43% unfavorable among Georgia voters, while Walker has a net negative rating of 43% favorable to 52% unfavorable. Changes in these ratings since last month have been small and within the poll’s margin of error – i.e., the Democrat’s positive number has increased by 3 points while the Republican’s negative number has gone up by 4 points.
Just under half of Georgia voters say they will either definitely (39%) or probably (10%) vote for Warnock in November and a slightly smaller number will either definitely (33%) or probably (11%) vote for Walker. These numbers also include those who have already cast their ballots in early voting – representing about 1 in 4 potential voters in this election. At the other end of the spectrum, 40% say they will definitely not vote for Warnock and 46% say the same for Walker. The number of voters who give their definite support has increased by 7 points for each candidate since September, while the number who say they definitely would not vote for them has gone down a couple of points for Warnock (from 42% to 40%) and up a few points for Walker (from 43% to 46%). The Monmouth Poll was taken before the latest allegation that Walker paid for another woman’s abortion, so it may not fully reflect just how high Walker’s negatives have jumped. The three-point increase in people who said that they definitely would not vote for Herschel Walker is likely part of the fallout from the persistent scandals that have followed the Republican candidate. It is a mistake to assume that because Republican voters don’t care about Walker’s scandals, it means that all voters don’t care. Polling has consistently shown that the abortion allegations, domestic violence allegations, secret children, and general trouble surrounding Herschel Walker have hurt him with non-Republican voters. If Republicans lose in Georgia and Pennsylvania, their odds of taking back the Senate are close to zero. Herschel Walker seems to be fading as a candidate, as a strong close to the campaign by Rev. Warnock could slam the door on Mitch McConnell’s hopes of becoming Senate Majority Leader again.

Not only the TV machine, but online sites are pulling out the ole' "Dems in disarray" crapola once again.

23. From the time I typurned cable on this
Morning it was a litany of fear, fear for the Democrats, they are losing, do not have the right message, etc.
If I believed them I would have crawled back in the bed. Instead I drank my coffee, went to the Y Pool. Came home, same thing, except a short story about Pelosi wife Paul was assaulted, now back to inflation. Turn it off. |

9. Since most Repubs now vote in person on Election Day...
We cannot predict with certainty what their turnout may be on Election Day.
Reportedly, their enthusiasm level is very high. We do not know for sure just how enthusiastic they may be on Election Day. If they are not turning out for early vote, who's to say that many will not stay home on November the 8th? I do not see voters that are happy with the direction their Party is going? They may vote in record numbers, which would defy all logic. But, voting is the best way we have found to determine what people are thinking. The trick is to get people to believe the results. |

19. Campaigns know who has or has not voted on a daily basis.
That helps them target those that have not voted.
They also know if they regularly vote on Election Day, absentee, or early vote in person. Considering the strong early vote turnout. I have to think it is for Warnock. And the same for other states for Democrats. |

11. Walker would treat Georgians like his illegitimate children
With zero experience, glaring mental health and traumatic brain injury issues, how could Walker even be a viable candidate? Republican are throwing their cynicism and disdain for democracy in our faces. Senator Whitehouse recently said there has been over a $billion of dark money poured into this year’s senate races and we are watching it’s toxic effects destroy our democracy in real time. The Americans who are choosing to not vote are making a conscious choice to flush our democracy and hand it over to the billionaires and fascists. Anyone who cares about our democracy can’t afford to sit this one out. GOTV!

Us mean ol' progressives and liberals are just plain scared of Herschel's conservative magnetism, or so I'm told. I'm not ashamed to admit it had me searching for the nearest fainting couch.

As a younger person, I always put Senators in the category of some of the most intelligent, competent, patriotic statesmen in our country. Not any longer. That goes for the Supreme Court too. Our democracy and country has taken a nosedive in my lifetime.
