Some of them distanced themselves after Jan 6. But after a few weeks and the base didn't leave TFG, they got back on his train one by one.

That's one reason why they eventually fall in line (i.e. Lindsey Graham)

The other reason is half the base are rabid cult members who will accept nobody else.

But they are expecting a huge republican primary again (like in 2016). His rabid cult base can get him to cross the finish line in their primary again. Remember, they have winner takes all primaries. He can win a majority of primary while winning only 30-35% of the votes. That was exactly how it went back in 2016.

Remember, a lot of their “leadership” had nasty things to say about him right after 1/6. But they all went crawling back anyway.

Hoping that cover graphic gives him a stroke, though.

The inmates control the asylum. He's not going away, GOP. You're stuck with him until he drops dead. Bed. Made. Lie. And, by "lie," I don't mean continue to spew non-truths and false conspiracies.

the loonies/groupies will follow and eagerly anticipate Trump's trigger words..Hillary ("Lock her up&quot , Pence, McConnell, Biden, Hunter, Garland, Pelosi..and they''ll boo, hiss, nod, and wave their Trump flags...

There is no way the GOP can "divorce" the Trump disenfranchised faithful/his brain-dead weekend warriors...the GOP needs their votes..and we Dems have to make sure McCarthy, McConnell et al. are forever superglued to Trump and his psychopathy...

he retains enough popularity to make the Rethugly 2024 presidential primaries a hot steaming mess of lies, slanders, bitter feelings, and intra-party hatred, so much so that the Republicans lose bigly.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, wants a thing to do with him!

I think the attack on Paul Pelosi finished off the pukes.

It shows them for what they are, a batch of stupid thugs!
