Apparently Russian and Ukraine sources are reporting that Ukraine had occupied a town on the peninsula in southern Mykolaiev. Russia had been reported using the area as a missile launching base. This is at the mouth of the Dnipro River.
If true it's a significant continuation of the offensive involving a landing by sea. Developing. Link to tweet Def Mon isn't confirming but he ha an idea about the strategy: Link to tweet ?t=rR11_oHPWNCH5zHh-AaVwA&s=19

2. US support will continue
My biggest fear of a red wave was the end of our support for Ukraine and adoption of a more pro Putin policy. Thank G-d that will not come to pass. With a narrow majority and at least a handful of sane Republicans, a Putin takeover of US government is less of a threat.
