Because if this "race and nomination" does "open up," Democrats will almost certainly LOSE that seat to the GOP. That fake-progressive Arizonan is unfortunately still our best chance; SHE has to make opposing her our best. Not a spoiler faction.

Remember the consequences of 2016's spoiler campaigning? Yes, the Democratic Party was knocked out, but not permanently, AND it enabled a devastating takeover by the Republicans and their authoritarian, billionaire, religious right, and white nationalist power blocs.

Occasional bloviating for donations is okay. But NO to hoping to flip a coin with the lives of 330,000,000 Americans. Progressivism and progressive advances REQUIRE control of the government establishment. No establishment, no progressive laws and programs.

There is no such thing as a spoiler campaign. If a person meets the requirements they can campaign for president. And there have been many times that two Democrats or more have run for president. There is nothing new about that. The office of the president doesn't belong to anybody and it's nobody's turn, no matter who it is. We all know how the system works. If you don't like it change it.
