The sad part is, even if he is indicted, tried, convicted and jailed, he will have served Putin's purpose.
The damage he has done to the institution of the executive branch and office he held is incalculable.
For this reason, other than justice being served and guardrails hopefully put in place, I see no cause to celebrate any outcome.

If a Republican wins, he'll pardon the orange bastard on Day One. I think the idea of a pardon is going to loom large in the 2024 election , assuming Trump is not the GOP nominee.

(15,909 posts)No matter what happens, even if Trump is indicted, convicted, and sentenced to technical incarceration, he'll never be in a real prison. House arrest is the worst he'll experience.
