Their adjournment ploy and shifting to voting it down has managed to delay the conclusion of the 15th vote past Epiphany to Saturday (Eastern Time) January 7th.
That will besmirch both the 6th and the 7th as infamous in U.S. history.

If he wanted to vote for McCarthy, he should have done it on round 14.
Then I realize they are all crazy and illogical and I shouldn't try to understand them because I will never be able to.

He voted present. And his doing so didn't make the difference in the end. He could've voted for or against and the outcome would be the same.
