NBC News reporting more classified documents found by Biden's team
More ammunition for the GOP. It's so frustrating.

1. It doesn't matter one bit in the legal sense...
...and in the propaganda/political sense, it's not like Republicans ever needed """ammo""" to begin with, since they would happily just make shit up regardless.

18. Yeah, I wasn't buying the whole "plant" thing at first.
But, I'm having second thoughts. I hope they do a good job of dusting them for finger prints. And, I'm betting there ARE security cameras around.

6. Yes, frustrating.
BUT we don't know what the documents were. It's possible that Biden as VP might have been involved in things that he prepared becoming classified as soon as he generated them.

8. I'm sorry, but something isn't right about this. Wouldn't be surprised if they were planted.
The GQP US Taliban Party of pedios, liars, Santos, tRump of treason is liable to do ANYTHING.
This is the party of REVENGE, and I put NOTHING past them. You see that they're trying to blow up "everything," destroy this country and are SO supportive of and Pro-Putin. |

19. The timing certainly is odd and convenient for MAGAs.
So is the timing coincidental?
OTOH, claiming that they were planted sounds like a Trump excuse. Seems like we are lacking some background info. |

11. Why did it take so long to clear out these offices and why lawyers?
The reporting on this story seems off. They are trying to create a sinister motive by leaving out details.

15. They're living and working in the DC bloodsport arena. Of COURSE they got lawyers.
There's going to be a House investigation into this "scandal". Count on it.
There's simply no comparison (or rather no sane comparison) between these Biden files and the depth and sheer quantity of classified data mishandling in the Trump files. |

12. President Biden directed his aides to search the additional files ......
The corrupt GQP know the difference, but will ignore it.

13. People working at the Obama, Bush, and Clinton foundations should go a-rummaging
I'm sure all sorts of classified info has gotten slipped into all sorts of legacy files.
So much data gets classified in response to FOIA requests, I'm certain there's violations in every president's library. The real difference is that the Biden Foundation workers identified it, reported it, and turned it in promptly. Trump hid and through his lawyers deliberately lied about the classified info and, in all likelihood, has already sold some of it to Russian and Saudi operatives. Also, the sheer volume of data and levels of sensitivity of the data in question is so much worse with Trump Trump's data breech had to be solved with an FBI search warrant. Biden's people voluntarily reported themselves on their error. No cover ups, no lies. |

16. From Politicus
https://www.politicususa.com/2023/01/10/biden-classified-docs-jen-psaki.html "Jen Psaki said on Deadline: White House with Nicolle Wallace: I think what they’re strategically doing, and this is what someone told me there today is being very by the book in every aspect of this, and now this is being reviewed by the Justice Department. Therefore it is in the hands of the Justice Department to provide any additional details. We know the Justice Department does not do such things when a review is ongoing. There’s an aspect of that that is both convenient in that there’s not more details that can be shared and inconvenient because clarifying details are not available to them. They are strategically and purposefully trying to do every aspect by the book because that, in the end, may help them in the long-term even if it’s unpleasant right now. The strategy is that the White House knows that they make take a little short term hit in the news cycle, but by doing things the right way, they will gain credibility and the story will fade away. Nothing suffocates a media story more than boring facts that don’t feed a scandal. One of the many ways that Trump failed as president was that he thought he had to win every second of the media cycle. By compulsively lying non-stop, he fed and created scandals that didn’t go away for days, weeks, or months at a time. The Biden White House knows that the finding that he did nothing wrong will have more credibility if they follow the law. Politically, it also creates a great contrast with Trump and reminds voters of why they elected Biden in the first place. It is a smart strategy that deals with a bit of negative coverage today in exchange for victory down the road." |

21. Biden is just showing what Trump should have done
If Trump had turned over any documents found and behaved lawfully according to the process (as Biden is doing), Trump would have no problems right now.
The DoJ investigator is a Trump appointee, so Republicans can't claim bias. Let the chips fall where they may. Biden did the right thing; Trump did the wrong thing. |

24. That's how one is supposed to store common classified materials.
In a locked room in a locked cabinet. It isn't until you get to Secret or TS that it gets complex and highly monitored.
