Meanwhile... In Another Country Run By The Taliban... 10 Years For Dancing
Iran jails couple in viral dancing video: activists RawStory
An Iranian court has handed jail sentences of over 10 years each to a young couple who danced in front of one of Tehran's main landmarks in a video seen as a symbol of defiance against the regime, activists said on Tuesday. Astiyazh Haghighi and her fiancé Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, both in their early 20s, had been arrested in early November after a video went viral of them dancing romantically in front of the Azadi Tower in Tehran. Haghighi did not wear a headscarf in defiance of the Islamic republic's strict rules for women, while women are also not allowed to dance in public in Iran, let alone with a man. A revolutionary court in Tehran sentenced them each to 10 years and six months in prison, as well as bans on using the Internet and leaving Iran, the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) said. https://www.rawstory.com/iran-jails-couple-in-viral-dancing-video-activists/?traffic_source=Connatix

Great way to ensure the future prosperity of your nation. Russia is taking the shortcut of killing them in war.

Don't think the christo-taliban wouldn't do it here.

6. The Taliban has no authority in Iran
Don’t even know if they exist in Iran. The Far Right conservatives who run Iran are the Ayatollahs.

13. Accuracy
Iran doesn't even recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government. It's not the Taliban mindset, it's Conservative thought that's the mind set causing most of the world's pain and suffering. The Taliban, the Mullahs, and the US Republican Party share most of the same ideals.
If tomorrow, Democrats in the US lost all power and how no way of getting any back, it would take about 18 months for the US to become just like Iran socially. Keep in mind there are hundreds of Conservative counties in the US that ban dancing presently. |

Prohibitions
The Taliban forbade the consumption of pork and alcohol, the use of many types of consumer technology such as music with instrumental accompaniments,[340] television,[340] filming,[340] and the Internet, as well as most forms of art such as paintings or photography,[340] participation in sports,[341] including football and chess;[341] Recreational activities such as kite-flying and the keeping of pigeons and other pets were also forbidden, and the birds were killed according to the Taliban's rules.[341] Movie theatres were closed and repurposed as mosques.[341] The celebration of the Western and Iranian New Years was also forbidden.[342] Taking photographs and displaying pictures and portraits were also forbidden, because the Taliban considered them forms of idolatry.[341] This extended even to "blacking out illustrations on packages of baby soap in shops and painting over road-crossing signs for livestock.[89]
Women were banned from working,[343] girls were forbidden to attend schools or universities,[343] were required to observe purdah (physical separation of the sexes) and awrah (concealing the body with clothing), and to be accompanied by male relatives outside their households; those who violated these restrictions were punished.[343] Men were forbidden to shave their beards and they were also required to let them grow and keep them long according to the Taliban's rules, and they were also required to wear turbans outside their households.[344][345] Prayer was made compulsory and those men who did not respect the religious obligation after the azaan were arrested.[344] Gambling was banned,[342] and the Taliban punished thieves by amputating their hands or feet.[341] In 2000, the Taliban's leader Mullah Omar officially banned opium cultivation and drug trafficking in Afghanistan;[346][347][348] the Taliban succeeded in nearly eradicating the majority of the opium production (99%) by 2001.[347][348][349] During the Taliban's governance of Afghanistan, drug users and dealers were both severely persecuted.[346] Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliban Hold them up for ridicule, and as a warning, every chance you get. |

16. How about we hold the Mullahs up for ridicule in Iran
They've been at this a lot longer than the Taliban.
But I agree, good and decent people of the world are fighting the same people everywhere. The Taliban, the Saudi monarchy, the Mullahs in Iran, Rightwing fascists in Brazil, Conservative evangelicals in the US. It's the same fight. It doesn't take any imagination at all to see that if left to it, US Republicans would ban women from working, school, and force them to wear burqas in no time at all if they got complete control. Conservatives openly pine for a US where protesters of their power can be tortured and beheaded. These forces are right here in the US too, they're just hoping for some big calamity that allows them to take power forever to create the country they think the Bible demands they create. |
