(22,767 posts)what this country, and world for that matter, would be like if the kind, moral, ethical and right things were done to make sure no one suffers poverty and hunger. The benefits EVERYONE would derive from it. My bet is that we'd see a whole lot less crime, too, which is terribly overexaggerated in the news with taking and disseminating copaganda to their audiences.
The way things are set up and running now, we ask for all the problems we end up with because of the refusal to have compassion for others. Wouldn't be all that hard to change that, either, except for those dead set against it because they already have theirs.
Truly, when COVID hit and the news was full of "essential emloyees" I was truly hoping that people would really come to appreciate those who do the hard, low paying jobs and their lots would change. Clearly, I underestimated the selfishness rampant in this country.
