How many times have we heard Garland being accused of taking too long to search Trumps home. Now we learn it was a few FBI agents slowing things down. It was Garland and prosecutors who were being aggressive, it was few a FBI agents who were being timid, afraid to search Trumps home.
People who who do not learn from this lesson will continue to make accusations that will turn out to be unfounded.
The list of accusations against Garland is very, very, long. Garland has not been able to respond to many of these accusations. We don't hear his side of the story. We don't know all the facts as yesterday news proved.

(21,319 posts)The FBI's mandate is established in Title 28 of the United States Code (U.S. Code), Section 533, which authorizes the Attorney General to "appoint officials to detect and prosecute crimes against the United States."[65] Other federal statutes give the FBI the authority and responsibility to investigate specific crimes.

(148 posts)It appears to me that once again the GqP has been projecting their actions on to us accusing us of controlling the deep state. All the while subverting any progressive actions with their oath keeper and proud boy indoctrinated agent's working undercover.

It takes guts to risk your retirement, your family's well-being, for a principle. Not all FBI agents would risk it. I wonder what I would do in that situation.

Trump is running, could be president in 2025 ( ), and he could fire the participating FBI agents. Trump can be a bit vindictive.

(95,247 posts)Is that a coterie of FBI agents seek to shield from prosecution a criminal whose politics they adore, and that they can do so without apparent consequence.
The agents who argued Trump should be believed, that no vigorous action should be taken, ought to be named and, if not fired outright, at least placed where they can have no influence on the investigation of the treasons they support.

I am not defending the FBI agents when I say this. What they did looks really bad. However, there is NO proof YET, these FBI agents were MAGA lunatics trying to protect Trump. We don't have all the facts yet.
However, some people will immediately accuse them of being MAGA lunatics before we have all the facts.

(21,319 posts)not all of the agents are corrupt, some, as was mentioned, fear Trump, fear losing their jobs, or even fear physical retribution against them if Trump sends out a coded message.
The lesson learned is that situations like this will continue until Trump is held accountable.
