After all, the more entertaining users find it, the more time they'll spend on Bing and the more ads they can be served. Which was the point all along.
Social media: Notifications keep users hooked.
AI chatbot: Hold my beer...

The toggle sits on the chat landing page just above the search with three options: "More Creative," "More Balanced," and "More Precise." Choosing Creative gives you Bing in its wackiest unbridled state. "Responses are original and imaginative, creating surprise and entertainment for you," reads the description. Balanced responses "are reasonable and coherent, balancing accuracy and creativity in conversation." The precise setting says "Responses are factual and concise, prioritizing accuracy and relevancy for you."
As for how creative the Creative mode can be, see what it told a content creator about a video it claims he made:

EDITING to link to and excerpt Business Insider's test of the new feature - it's inconsistent with its own directives, but there was one consistent factor: all 3 modes gave inaccurate answers:
https://www.businessinsider.com/how-bings-ai-chatbots-new-styles-respond-to-basic-questions-2023-3
Insider found that the different conversational styles can be inconsistent with their directives. Some "precise" responses stood out as more creative, while the creative answers were limited and vague.
The guardrails and capabilities of each mode also varied. It's not clear why precise mode is able to generate a song in Beyoncé's voice but cannot suggest flight information, for example.
It's possible that tailoring the question to the conversational style may yield better results asking the creative mode to help write a poem, for example, and precise mode to help answer factual questions.
Overall, the new modes are fun to experiment with, but they are unreliable and all answered at least one question with inaccuracies.

I've always hated Bing. Guess my gut feeling was correct.
