Murdaugh admitted to taking 50,000 pills a day. Here's what that amount looks like:
I've watched a number of opioid documentaries. I saw the Netflix one on the Sacklers which was called "The Crime of the Century." Another one I watched was "Do No Harm: The Opioid Epidemic." In one of the two I saw a guy taking that number of pills in a day.
I have heard that in some cases they reduce the amount of pills to a powder, but beyond doing that, I don't know how they ingest them. Maybe someone else knows?

(1,283 posts)He said in trial he took up to 60 pills a day - which I also doubt is the truth.

(35,620 posts)they don't take them one by one. Handful, glug, glug, handful, glug, glug.
on edit:
it's repulsive, but they have hotdog eating contests where they ingest vast quantities of hotdogs. I have never watched one, though, just heard about them.
I would never watch that, just like I would never watch truck races with those big wheels. Just too stupid for words.

(35,620 posts)but if you watch these documentaries, that's what they do.

That's why I asked the question about crushing the pills. Maybe that's an easier way? Anyway, glad I don't know from first-hand experience.
