'That's dead people!' Jon Stewart blasts Oklahoma Republican in tense exchange

A Republican lawmaker who earlier this year authored a bill that aims to further loosen gun restrictions appeared on “The Problem with Jon Stewart” Friday arguing that the solution to gun violence is more guns. Stewart's guest, Oklahoma State Sen. Nathan Dahm, got an earful.

During a tense exchange, Dahm nodded when asked if he believed that more guns would enhance public safety but didn’t have any good answers.

And then Stewart pounced.

5. I was thinking of this last night, did I tell you that I was once in Jon Stewart's studio audience?

He was very nice and it's not a big studio. He answered audience questions before the show and a lady sitting near me asked him about the notes he uses - which he remembered and gave them to her after the show! The only tough part was security getting in. I regretted bringing my overstuffed purse, but the security guy gave up, plus I don't look all that dangerous.
