NBC host Chuck Todd on Sunday pushed back against New Hampshire Republican Gov. Chris Sununu's suggestion that all news networks lie to their viewers like Fox News did after then-President Donald Trump lost the 2020 election.
During an interview on Meet the Press, Todd asked Sununu about what News Corp owner Rupert Murdoch could do to regain trust in his network that was lost when on-air personalities lied about the election being stolen from Trump by hacked Dominion voting machines.
"Are you at all concerned you can have an honest conversation with Fox viewers?" Todd asked.
"Oh, I don't think it's just Fox," the governor opined. "I mean, I'll put them in there, but all of media, all of television media, and everyone has to own a little bit of the lack of trust, the lack of accountability."

(58,785 posts)And Todd is a top MSNBC agent tasked with spinning dishonesty to successfully suppress the vote among their left-leaning viewership. MSNBC not only didn't have to be as overtly dishonest as Fox, that degree wouldn't work on them. For the same reason CNN's only been increasing its Fox-lite narratives without trying to compete with Fox.
Years of this kind of stuff, and much, much worse. (Nonstop Hillary hitjob all through 2015-2016.)
By Tommy Christopher Sep 10th, 2020
MSNBCs Chuck Todd and The New York Times Peter Baker analogized scandals like President Donald Trumps current coronavirus-related political difficulties and alleged comments about U.S. war dead to the intense coverage of former Secretary of State Hillary Clintons use of a private email server four years ago. ... Trump knew in early February that the virus was much more deadly than the seasonal flu, yet continued to downplay the threat..."
At this point the pandemic had already killed over 190,000 and the projection of a quarter million dead shortly into 2021 turned out to be true. In 2020-21 they were still using "But, Hillary's emails!!" to distract attention from Republican crimes onto Democrats.

Republicans totally lack any imagination. They play the same old cards over and over again - deflect and/or project. The both-siderisms are really getting old already. Why even bother interviewing such people, as we all know what they are going to say.
