Quite the international incident.
Another thing for black Americans to worry about... sigh. "Mexico-ing" while black.
They were placed in a vehicle and taken from the scene by armed men in the border city of Matamoros, according to the FBI. Investigators believe a Mexican cartel likely mistook them for Haitian drug smugglers, a US official said.

I wouldn't call ANYWHERE in Mexico "safe"...
SAFE-ISH at best.

(32,328 posts)It was shot in Cozumel in the mid-80's. That movie will make you want to go there because it seems so exciting and romantic. Problem is, Cozumel isn't like that any more. Sad to say, it has been built up to the point were it's like a mini-Miami Beach now.
I was lucky to see Cozumel in the mid-70's when there were only 5 or 6 hotels on one small area of the beach. The rest of the island was untouched and very lovely. But "Against All Odds" shows pretty much how it looked back then.
