Bill Maher wisdom and Dems

Maher’s been on dem’s lousy messaging for awhile, but the other day I heard something slightly new/different from him.

..which is that (some) trumpkins don’t like trump either, but to them, his crazy stuff is way less crazy than the Dems’ crazy stuff…

I personally have no issues with the dem / liberal agenda, but nobody likes having things crammed up their nose. Dems can be a snooty bunch. I myself am personally cooked on that attitude, tho my support of dem agenda has not flagged.

If there are any in the Dem camp who can appreciate this idea, why can’t they smarten up their messaging, along the lines of the reality Maher shared, as cited above?

of GQP talking points and it shows he is a true Libertarian. I have no time for Libertarians and only watch 10% of Maher's show for the past few years. His greed was what made him anti-mask. Poor baby, he had to do his show from home and lost $$$ by not being able to do live comedy during Covid. He is against support for student loans and a lot of other good programs.

5. It's hard to compete with a continously operating, multi-channel echo chamber.

Dems need to start building grass roots messaging the way conservatives did. The republicans win by running anyone they can in any position they can, and they have call in talk shows and news networks to enforce their beliefs. The thing is to start small and work yor way to the top.

10. The main "problem" (if you can call it that) with Democratic messaging is less lying, less pandering

There are definitely things that could be improved, but you can only improved "messaging" so much before it become lying and manipulation.

Republicans have no problem with lying and manipulation. We hardly needed the Fox News defamation trial revelations to know that, but it's great to have it clearly documented now.

Republicans have no problem over-simplifying issues to the point of grotesque parody. Republicans have no problem appealing to the darkest instincts of people, and stirring up their irrational fears.

Republicans aren't especially talented at messaging. They are just more willing to use easy but dishonest methods. Before you get too hard on Democrats for their supposed lack of messaging talent and discipline, keep in mind how much harder it is to sway people without selling your soul to do it.
