would be a massive unplugging of cable. I don’t see that happening at least not anytime soon.

We are "putting up with" Twitter and Facebook and Instagram and Tic Tock and the National Review and Clear channel and and and all while complaining about them all. Because "we" want our stuff, but only the way "we" want it.

I cancelled the tv 3 or 4 years ago. I don't miss it. TuneIn radio has a live stream for MSNBC, which suits me fine. And there's You Tube. I have a tv, with Hulu and Prime, but it hasn't been on since Dec.

That's why people cut/drop cable and get their content over the internet.

"Cable-Cutters"

Choice is good. Cable companies were always pigs.
For example: "Sports coverage is only $5"
After you spend $50 on stuff of absolutely no interest or worth.

Monopoly or near-monopoly behavior.
Your only real "choice" is to drop them.

There's this new-fangled internet thing now.

Even though some people never read the comics.

And almost everyone has at least three different multichannel video subscription service options: local cable operator, DirecTV, and DishTV. And the availability of a second or even third terrestrial service is very common (ATT, Verizon, various other smaller operators).

I cut the cord 16 years ago because I didn't want to support ESPN. I can't stand sports on TV (even the olympics) and refused to chip in for their ridiculous salaries. My son is now five and has never seen a ball game. I like coaching and playing, but I think the industry is a joke. If you have any service, you're probably supporting something you don't agree with. Best to do research on them all.

is that someone is going to have to file a lawsuit giving the people the ability to not have Focksnooze, OAN or Newsmax or any other worthless (to them) channel they don't want. Or, that they absolutely don't want to support. The packages are set up so that to get what you do want you have to buy an 'add-on' to get it (along with several shit channels that just stink.

A la carte would be great but, the channels that are the most popular would just raise their rates and thus, so would the cable companies. Because reasons (money!). It's all slick sleight of hand to get us to pay even more than we really want to.
