you've awoken the ageism brigade, they'll be along in a few minutes to tell you the 80 y/o's should be able to fly commercial jets, and that 89 y/o's are ok dokee to be in congress.

Yes, he has a lot of money, and he has people running his operation, and he may say he wanted it to go to certain causes. But he’s the GOP bogeyman. They loved it throughout his name, whether he has anything to do with it or not. That was my point.

John Williams is nominated for an Academy Award.

Soros isn't masterminding anything. He is donating large sums of money to help stem GOP fascism.

That’s what I’m getting at. It’s just silly to throw out his name every time the GOP has some sort of nightmare in the middle of the night.

But what you said about him is insulting.

Lets be honest; you know nothing about his physical or mental condition.

(my MIL is 94 and does five exercise classes a day)

But he is the knee-jerk reaction of the GOP when they need a bogeyman. OK, maybe I was a bit over the top with my initial post. But he is not the guy who’s doing all the bullshit. The GOP says he’s doing.

That was my point. Ageism? Good Lord no I’m a fucking senior citizen. I got gray hair, sore back, loss of muscle mass, that’s the best part of being old…. I’m not even going into the bad stuff.

How about "he's not rigging elections because he cares about Democracy"? What impact does his age have on his ability to do something politically wrong if he wanted to?

NB: I've been to his house several times for events in support of Democratic candidates. No apple sauce was served.

So by your logic a 8 year old kid should be able to drive a car and consent to sex unless proven incompetent to do so. Sorry but most of the elderly insist that they are still competent far past the point when they have lost any common sense. Stop trying to make ageism the same as racism or sexism. Ageism is a practical reality. My father can discuss with you, at great length and depth, topics ranging from astronomy to agriculture yet he still can't back out of his own driveway without hitting three mailboxes and the neighbors dog. At 56 years old I firmly believe there should be an age of 'non-consent" where you just keep your mouth shut and eat your pudding. I welcome my imminent censure and banning from this group. 🙂

There's no "right" to rig elections, and hence no legal requirements, but the OPs claim ("hyperbole&quot is that Soros is too old to try. Perhaps you could explain the mental and physical capabilities necessary, and the evidence that Soros (or any other "too old" Democrat) doesn't have them?

But not knowing anything at all about you, I'm pretty sure there are a number of topics on which my 91-year-old father could out maneuver you. Including reading the crowd. If you want to use age, alone, to diminish someone's capacities, a progressive audience is not the place to do it.

"IF" he is rigging elections, I sure as hell hope it's in the dems favor lol. The other side never stops trying to rig elections through any means possible.

There are many younger folks out there eating applesauce and hoping to have a bm, too, I'm afraid. Why does that have to be an elderly thing? Teeth? Plenty of young ones with not many teeth, too.

Very entertaining
