...over 40 grand jurors.

And Adam Schiff isn't supporting their work, he's mocking and taunting them, like Democratic and republican critics, alike.

Maybe he should start supporting their work, especially since his committee actually held up actual DOJ trials of Oath Keepers and Proud Boys for months, because the committee couldn't manage to get their witness transcripts to DOJ.

DOJ made 'urgent' requests for the witness transcripts since April, not to merely fill out what was described by CNN as a fast moving investigation that had already gathered more evidence than Mueller had in the same time frame, but to honor defense demands in Discovery in both sets of upcoming trials.

The Jan. 6 committee STALLED DOJ until December 22, refusing to release their 'work product,' as if it was doing something other than fill out their television presentation then sitting in a safe somewhere in the Capitol. Yet Sciff and Chairman Thompson treated the requests like a turf war.

“If they want to come in and say, ‘we want to look at something,’ that’s fine. But my understanding is they want to have access to our work product. And we told them no, we’re not giving that to anybody,” Thompson said.

But that reticence resulted in DELAYING THE PROUD BOYS AND OATH KEEPERS TRIALS UNTIL 2023, because prosecutors were unable to produce the evidentiary material from the committee in court that they were obligated to under the law of discovery.

Prosecutors asked the committee in April for the access to about 1,000 witness transcripts that lawmakers so far have refused to provide. The delay has frustrated Justice Department officials, who have faced pressure from members of the Jan. 6 committee to move more quickly on politically sensitive prosecutions beyond the rioters. Justice officials say that the committee’s criticism of the department are in conflict with the committee’s own role in delaying some of prosecutors’ work.

The letter added that “the select Committee’s failure to grant the Department access to these transcripts complicates the Department’s ability to investigate and prosecute those who engaged in criminal conduct in relation to the January 6 attack on the Capitol.”

The letter was released in a joint bid by prosecutors and two members of Proud Boys leadership to delay their trial, which is currently scheduled to begin in August, until December.

But here's Schiff, running for the Senate in Calif., grandstanding like he's done for a year now, as if he's personally privy to those details of the DOJ probe that would make these remarks more than uninformed prattle.

He's not.

Is a great Democratic Representative. He’s the blocking issue for justice because he critiques the rate at which justice is being applied? You blame him for a committee’s decisions?

Poor infected DOJ-they are perfect in no ways. The buck stops there.

I will take Adam Schiff for Senator any day.

Yeah Merck the Meek!

...which neither you nor the op have refuted with these SchiffDempartydefense projections.

Here's Schiff castigating DOJ for delays that his own committee contributed to.

That's not support for their investigation, it's just baseless taunting, like the op.

They cannot do anything without Rep. Schiff’s approval. DOJ has there own charter and authority and need no ones permission to move. They are powerless because they are infected with treasonous SOBs.

The last time people attack inside the capital there was a trail in under 4 months

DOJ has not and will not do anything.

The Justice department has the clout to enforce subpoenas the J6 committee did not. So its only recourse was to hold people like Mark Meadows and Dan Scavino to account for ignoring subpoenas by sending a criminal referral to DOJ. When DOJ shit cans those referrals it sends a message to others who the J6 committee subpoenaed. No it wasn't about discovery, that is an excuse.

Schiff will make an excellent Senator, if he wins, I hope we all support him.

What's the point? Is Schiff saying Garland and Smith have failed, they're incompetent? If he believes that he should appear on the news and say it directly. He should call for Garlands removal if he believes he has failed.
