and even evil Jews, while also being chock full of characters who are presumptively good guys simply because their only identifiable characteristic at that point in the program is being religious/Christian.

Wilson and his family are members of the Baháʼí Faith.[40][41][42] The website Baháʼí Blog, which is popular in the Bahá’í community, hosts Wilson's podcast, the Baháʼí Blogcast, on which he interviews notable people about the intersection of their faith and their work.[43]

On Bill Maher's Real Time, Wilson described himself as a diverse independent, having voted for Republican, Green, and Democratic candidates.

Wilson's charitable works include fundraising for the Mona Foundation, a Bahá’í-inspired charity operating in developing countries.[44] In 2013, along with Dr. Kathryn Adams, he co-founded Lidè Haiti, an educational initiative that uses the arts and literacy to empower adolescent girls in rural Haiti. They currently work in 13 locations with over 500 girls, providing scholarships to many of them.[45] In 2018, Wilson stated he had adopted a vegan lifestyle.[46]

On November 10, 2022, Wilson changed his name on social media to Rainnfall Heat Wave Rising Sea Levels Wilson in an effort to raise awareness about climate change, though he did not legally change his name.[47][48]

So all the more modest Christians who try to follow the teachings of the Bible find themselves without a public voice. Christian now means the cult that want to destroy the US and replace it with an authoritarian government of their own which most Americans would see as evil.

Including my own. If you're not a God fearing church going fanatic you're not part of the community clique. This can effect your housing, job and political opportunities bigly.

If you're not excessively pro-something, then you must be against it.

Sometimes, I think those people who are most vocal in promoting their religion must be the most insecure about it. Otherwise, they wouldn't need to yell about it, try to force it upon others, or feel a need to defend it in places where there are few or no rival faiths in the first place.

Among Dave Barry's "25 things it took me 50 years to learn" was this:
12. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.

@rainnwilson

The metamorphosis of Jesus Christ from a humble servant of the abject poor to a symbol that stands for gun rights, prosperity theology, anti-science, limited government (that neglects the destitute) and fierce nationalism is truly the strangest transformation in human history.
