According to a report from 11Alive, Walker requested that the homestead tax exemption that he previously claimed for his home in Westlake, Texas be removed for the 2021 and 2022 tax years.

“I am no longer a resident of Tarrant County or the State of Texas and therefore do not qualify for the homestead exemption,” Walker wrote in an application to have the break removed, according to 11Alive. “This property is not my primary residence.”

I'm not going to pretend that I'm any kind of an expert when it comes to the political landscape in either GA or TX.

It appears to me that GA is no longer a red state, but "purple." While it's quite possible that TX is VERY slowly heading in that direction (wishful thinking on my part, maybe) Walker might have more luck there.

I can't help but wonder if the GOP machine will spend any money on ANY Walker candidacy. He's a lousy candidate. Between his ignorance and his scandals it's obvious he doesn't belong anywhere near Capitol Hill.

But the GOP probably figures that many GOPers will vote for him before even considering a Democratic candidate.
