I started 5th grade in the school where DeSantis' home near Jacksonville is zoned to. All the staff would have attended segregated schools, and they did nothing when the recess game, day after day, was the white kids (80-90 percent) pummelling the black kids at dodgeball. Since we were moving to Texas, my mom let me drop out for a month. Those kids are in their 50s now. Color blind my ***.
