Think about it: one third of the US Supreme Court, which comprises one third of our system of

government, was put in place by the manchild who just barely failed in his attempt to overthrow that same system of government.

Not exactly a "warm and fuzzy" thought, is it?

This book banning bullshit, everything Ron Desantis is doing, all of the draconian anti-trans and anti-abortion laws that are being passed. It's insanity.

If you're talking about expanding SCOTUS, it's not that simple.

I think we should do that though.

You make the claim that Biden can neutralize, then say IDK, I don't know the process?

P.S. It was critical in 2016.

I’m no expert but my misunderstanding was that it is an option.

I wish more had taken seriously what republicans have been broadcasting for decades. Clearly not enough were listening and/or taking them seriously. They had 4 goals.

1. Get control of the Supreme Court. check

2. Pack the federal courts. check (1. & 2. are LIFETIME positions)

3.Get control of State Houses. (think Gerrymandering, Trans, Gay, Marriage, Roe, etc.) check

4. Start fast and furious unwinding EVERYTHING they don't like and replace with what they do. in process.

If you get the states to start passing laws and if/when they get challenged in court, well, you got the federal courts and if that doesn't do the trick hopefully the wacked out SC will have your back. The odds are pretty good for R's right now. THAT is what we are witnessing.

The voting public didn't take the broadcasting serious enough and well, here we are. And we have a congress that is so deadlocked, good luck on getting anything resolved there. We have a President, not a King. It was up to the voting public to safeguard, and the public didn't do it. Yet now want the POTUS to fix it all. Of age 18 and over citizens, there were only 60.1% that actually voted in the last presidential election. That was a record turnout. That means that almost 40% of citizens don't bother to vote at all. And THAT is a problem.

Just googled for ONE name, though a big one, to illustrate. Some current headlines:

Dark money and special deals: How Leonard Leo and his friends benefited from his judicial activism: The Federalist Society co-chairman’s lifestyle took a lavish turn after he became Donald Trump’s adviser on judicial nominations.

Leonard Leo Wants to Use His Dark Money to Remake American Culture:
Alongside Peter Thiel and a whole rogue's gallery of the conservative right, their plan is to destroy the left

How Abortion Pills Became the Target of Leonard Leo’s Post-Roe Agenda

Inside the “Private and Confidential” Conservative Group That Promises to “Crush Liberal Dominance”: Leonard Leo, a key architect of the Supreme Court’s conservative supermajority, is now the chairman of Teneo Network, a group that aims to influence all aspects of American politics and culture.

These people don't care that "liberal dominance" -- individualism, rights, freedoms, equality, toleration of differences -- is a natural, inevitable evolution in our modern, changing world. They plan to smash it and keep us smashed.
