Here's how a Trump indictment would play out: Yes, he'll be fingerprinted. probably no handcuffs

If Trump is indicted in New York, he'll be treated like any defendant, but with key exceptions.
Trump would be fingerprinted, swabbed for the state DNA database, and photographed for his mugshot.
But he likely won't be 'perp walked' before the cameras, and handcuffs are also unlikely.

Don't expect a dramatic, flash-bulb-dappled perp walk. But yes, there will be a mugshot, and fingerprinting, and a mandatory DNA cheek-swabbing — and a "not guilty" plea, though not necessarily in open court.

If Donald Trump is indicted in New York, as looks increasingly likely, it will be over his strident denials of wrongdoing. This week he "Truthed" that the prosecution is a "Scam, Injustice, Mockery, and a Complete and Total Weaponization of Law Enforcement in order to affect a Presidential Election!"

I assume at least three appellate filings up the chain from district to federal district to court of appeals to Supreme Court, with requisite delay tactics all along the route. At least 12 months in total, but easily could exceed 24 months. And at any moment the appeals could reach the SCOTUS and get shot down in toto.

…authoritative and intimidating.

It doesn’t. It makes him look ignorant and illiterate.

to compare to the spooge remnants on the clothes she kept from when he raped her? So far she hasn't been able to get a sample but maybe she can get it through the state database?

My understanding is the feds can only fetch him from Florida if DeSantis allows it. He kept the feds out of Florida during the election, he can do it for Trump. Which makes a real interesting call for DeSantis. He can help scar his greatest political opponent for GOP head, or he can deny the feds entry and become a MAGA hero and court that vote after Trump is buried with the avalanche of other indictments.

And the public reassured of it. We can count on that.

Ex-President tRump's dignity will be protected, and there's no chance he will be handcuffed or "perp-walked," though he himself might ask to be visible to the press and public.

Absent a willingness to voluntarily surrender, Trump will likely refuse to travel from Florida, and an extradition process will be necessary.
