Mostly ABOUT the abortion issue although you’re right and this map is indicative of many things.

I’m also pissed off because exactly WHERE is the outrage over the overturning of Roe v Wade? Women make up over half of the population and in all honesty, I’ve seen nothing of substance in the fight to keep our rights to control our bodies. Yes, there have been a few legal cases, etc.

But I ask again - where is the outrage???

I saw many posts here about how many posters were taking to the streets, but I never saw any follow up about that.

...give the Republicans doing all of this anti-abortion, anti-woke shit full power over the entire country if they happen to be unhappy enough with Biden (even for things that aren't Biden's fault) when November 2024 rolls around.

That’s when the Republicans added an anti-choice plank to their platform and began wooing the Christian Right. I joined NARAL, gave money to the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. I’ve also marched in many protests. I just gave $50 to The Brigid Alliance, an organization that helps women in these anti-choice states with travel, lodging, etc. to get the care they need.

Marching is great, but there’s many more things you can do on an individual level. At 72, I’m kind of marched out. I’m hoping many more young people will pick up the mantle and fight.

We should probably funnel all that effort and energy and money into grassroots efforts to take all governments back from the ground up.

weed, fishing and golf, casinos, and comprehensive women's health services.

Cairo is nearly a ghost town in a beautiful, scenic area. We could offer hospitality and healthcare to the folks from these backwards states and revive the economy of Southern Illinois at the same time.

The red is going to get redder and the blue will get bluer.

That will happen via migration, political and climate related.

Trump behind bars becomes a cause celebre. Trump assassinated becomes a martyr.

Increasingly, the people who are behind the neo-secession movement may actually prefer a dead Trump to a live one, especially if he is publicly assassinated.
