Fox News says the Manhattan DA is requesting a meeting with law enforcement to discuss the logistics of an indictment against Trump. Potential topics include handcuffing, transportation, fingerprinting, and processing.

JOHN ROBERTS, FOX NEWS: Fox News alert, we are learning that the Manhattan [district attorney's] office has asked for a meeting with law enforcement ahead of a potential Trump indictment, according to a source in the courts. The meeting, which was requested yesterday and has not been set yet, is to discuss logistics for some time next week, which would mean that they are anticipating an indictment next week.

The same source who is familiar with the planning said they will go over security preparations in and around the courthouse in lower Manhattan. Secret Service will take the lead in what they will allow or will not allow. The source cautioned, mentioning for instance the decision to handcuff the president, the former president, or not. They will set the tone and will escort him into the courtroom. There will be coordination between all of this, the source said, but we will defer to the secret service. The battle will be between the secret service and D.A. Alvin Bragg. They will decide how and when he'll get into the building and they are not going to leave him. The source believes the former president will still have to be fingerprinted and processed like every other defendant.

It’s a little presumptuous to expect TFG to set foot in New York State, far less City if he knows there’s an indictment out on him.
I’d be meeting with Floriduh or marshals service staff as well, just in case he manages to resist the temptation to reply to the “invitation “.

WHY???

I wish Biden would order them to hook him up. That's got to be the reason he says he won't resist. Doesn't want to be handcuffed.

Would the SS be expected to protect him from the Marshall's service? He's probably made the detail his friends...If he doesn't get handcuffed even for a minute or two, then he is being specially handled. Oh, sure, he's "not" above the law...

HE DOESN'T DESERVE DEFERENTIAL HANDLING! What if Bragg pops up with a felony charge?

Lock him up!!! I hope this event poisons his relationship with the SS forever!

I don't think he plans to walk into any courthouse. They'll negotiate a surrender, and backdoor him in secret.
