The unpleasant reality of reality.....

There won't be "an arrest" of Donald Trump.

There won't be handcuffs.

There won't be a "perp walk"

There won't be "taking him into custody"

There won't be an ankle bracelet.

He'll arrive at the DA's office for processing and will then leave.

At some point in the future, he'll arrive at the Court House for arraignment, and will then leave.

5. Yup. He'll go in and out a back door - unless he wants the cameras,

always a possibility with him - and will be processed like all other potential defendants who aren't under custodial arrest. He'll be released OR, no handcuffs, no perp walk like a mob boss. Rudy Giuliani didn't invent the perp walk, but he made extensive use of it as US Attorney for SDNY when he was running for mayor; it made for great press for a law-and-order candidate. If the handcuffs were on the other wrists he and TFG would be howling like banshees, but it's not likely to happen.

Perfectly lit and staged with Trump in his full orange face/combover glory.

9. The indictment will be enough for me

I’ve been disgusted by this cretin since he destroyed the facade of a beautiful building to erect his Gifth Avenue monstrosity.

It’s about time Trump faced some responsibility.

10. Only conviction (which will be fucking slow in coming I'll bet) will be enough for me

And I mean conviction that leads to whatever the closest thing to jail time is that Trump will ever be subjected to, which better not just be house arrest at some place as comfy as Mar-a-Lago.

Mere indictment is not enough.

Conviction won't even be very satisfying either if Trump is allowed to remain free while appeals drag out for months or years.

11. Exactly. The fantasies being spun by some DUers are just that. Fantasies.

He's not going to fake an illness. He's not going to try to flee the country. He's not going to hide out in Mar-a-Lago and resist extradition. And, in all likelihood, the indictment is not going to be for tax evasion (sorry to those who think this will be Al Capone redux).
