'What about Bill Clinton?' Rudy Giuliani calls Manhattan DA a 'piece of I don't know what'

Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and erstwhile defense counsel for ex-President Donald Trump, pulled the whataboutism card in an appearance on Newsmax's Saturday Report.

Giuliani was incensed over reports that Trump is likely to be arrested and indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) next week for allegedly paying $130,000 in so-called hush money to adult film entrepreneur Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 presidential election in order to keep her from talking about their purported personal relationship.

Trump's long-time attorney-turned-state's witness Michael Cohen went to prison for facilitating the illicit transaction (along with other crimes) which experts believe violated campaign finance laws. Since his release in 2021, Cohen has vociferously demanded that Trump be held accountable for commanding the illegal payoff.

There is also burbling speculation that if Trump is indeed prosecuted in New York, a cascade of additional charges may be close behind. These include Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis' (D) investigation into Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election in her state as well as the United States Department of Justice's ongoing probes into the hoard of classified documents that Trump took to Mar-a-Lago from the White House toward the end of his term and Trump's ringleading of the January 6th, 2021 Capitol insurrection.

No worries Rudy. You can be Trump's cellmate. You can dress up in drag and entertain everyone. You'll be a hit.

Chump will be indicted for his illegal use of campaign funds to silence someone (actually several women) before the 2016 election. We know of the illegal payments Chump made to these women because we have the testimony of Michael Cohen. Bill Clinton did nothing of the sort.

If Rudy thinks the private business (extra-marital affairs) of Bill Clinton are somehow connected to the crimes of Chump, then we're all ears. He'd better put up or shut up. But we all know that he's got nothing.

and then try to disguise the payoff as a business expense.

But Rudy knows that very well; he's just playing the game for his overlord and the MAGAt cult.

.... should be no problems. And yes I remember White Water which was a money losing real
estate deal and it became "The Great Blow Job Hunt" after the first special attorney quit and said
there was nothing there but Ken Starr came in and dragged America through the sewer.

Those were the words of Monica Lewinsky. That was her testimony.

Of course, Ken Starr kept that hidden for as long as he could.

...I'm telling you, it's untrue as his personal friend. I'm gonna tell you categorically, she's lying, categorically, and I don't know why I'd say that all the time," Giuliani sniped. "I can tell you, and I can tell you personally why I know that she's a damn liar."

Guiliani is too desperate and stupid to avoid a defamation suit.

Years of malicious prosecutions, millions in legal fees - and nothing.

Cheeto, on the other hand, has been a one-man crime wave for decades - and is only now starting to feel the heat.

(plus, he was one of the lousiest presidents in history - second only to Dubya).

There may not be a direct corralary.

Cohen was convicted on 8 charges. 5 of them were for tax evasion dealing with his taxi medallions and other non-tfg shenanigans.

The 6th was for fraud of a federally insured bank. That had to do with the personal loan he took to get cash to pay Clifford's. Not something tfg could be charged with.

7 and 8 were violations of federal elections law. Causing illegal corporate contributions and making an illegal campaign payment.

So it's not clear what nys would charge him with. The charges probably won't be that serious, and he likely won't face prison over them.

They've been screeching about locking both Clintons up for decades now, and none of them has ever been asked why..

I think it's time journalists started to ask that question.

to avoid indictment in the Lewinski affair, despite quite probably having not broken the law. Yes, he did the wrong thing and used his skill as a lawyer to avoid committing perjury while leaving a very misleading impression, but that isn't breaking the law. He was fined and had his law license suspended to avoid indictment by Javert (no sorry a typo Starr)
