Repuke congresscritter sez Drumpf can just ignore any indictment & court. Oh.

Last edited Mon Mar 20, 2023, 08:08 PM - Edit history (1)

Did these people have any schooling at all, like I-dunno, U.S. basic Civics? Or what did they do while in high school? Or if home schooled - I don't know how that works, do they have to meet standards, pass tests, get certified?

And then how do all these get so self-empowered and self-esteemed to shed all shame about flaunting their ignorance in public?

Could anybody here who has the misfortune to be in her district suggest to her that one way Drumpf might get to court for "sentencing/indictment" would be dragged in by handcuffs?!

Oh, look, she got into the job because some judge ruled her in. And her father was a State supreme court judge. And she's a LAWYER. Oh, it was a judge from her daddy's balliwick who gave her the job over th'other one.

WATCH: GOP Congresswoman Suggests Trump Will Simply Blow Off Indictment and Not Show Up in Court

.... “It’s really the worst of our system on display here and it’s unfortunate, but I think this is all going to blow over because I don’t see any way that they’re actually going to get to appear in a court for sentencing or I mean for indictment or for any type of charge,” the congresswoman said.

Tenney dismissed the potential indictment as simple “grandstanding” on the part of Bragg. ....

.... ...Tenney challenged Brindisi in 2020; the seat remained vacant at the start of the 117th United States Congress because the race was too close to call.[3] On February 5, 2021, New York Supreme Court Judge Scott DelConte ruled in Tenney's favor, allowing her to be declared the winner of the 2020 election.[4] Tenney took office six days later. ....

Tenney was born and raised in New Hartford, New York. Her parents were Cynthia and New York State Supreme Court Justice John R. Tenney. She attended New Hartford High School, where she played basketball and curling and competed in horseback riding.[5] She has a B.A. from Colgate University and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. ....

And dare them to come and get him. There never seem to be any consequences for him, why should this be any different?

Would the authorities really come and drag him out forcibly? I don’t know that they will any more than he does. He’s probably betting they won’t.

Do you really think he’s incapable of this? I can totally see him defiantly refusing to comply, calling it all fake and calling on his cult to surround his club to protect him.

Even if DeSantis won't allow him to be extradited, he might want to see his New York properties again.

Cooperation from Trump would be the surprising thing.

Why not give ignoring an indictment a shot if you're Trump? I hope we'd treat Trump like anyone else who is given a chance to turn themselves in, who then refuses, but Trump's been right all his life that he can get away with all sorts of shit, so why shouldn't he expect things will be different this time?

I'm skeptical myself that a quick arrest would follow Trump blowing off a chance to cooperate.

but if he didn’t ultimately cooperate, they will arrest. The days of no consequences are gone. I’m looking forward to the special counsel indictment, that will be the most serious charges.

uh huh. didn't think so.

On edit: raises an interesting question, though. What IF Donnie refused to appear in court? Would he be arrested? Or would this dog and pony show just repeat itself again upon his arrest?
