Why is Patrick McEnroe on CNN on the Trump beat

Am I missing something, he is a tennis player, a great player, but a tennis guy. Where does he fit on the panel.

Patrick has been Davis Cup captain and failed as head of development for US Tennis and got tossed out on his ass. He's a nepotism hire wherever he goes.
