Michigan man pleads to tweeting threats to kill judge, turn wife into meat pasties

BAY CITY, MI — A Clare County man has pleaded guilty in federal court to threatening to kill a sitting judge and grind his wife into meat pasties.

Jeremy S. Adams, 50, on Monday, March 20, appeared before U.S. District Magistrate Judge Curtis Ivy Jr. and pleaded guilty to using the internet to communicate an interstate threat to kill or injure. The charge is punishable by up to five years in prison followed by up to three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.

In pleading, Adams admitted that on May 5, he posted threats against his neighbor, his wife, and their children on Twitter and Reddit. Then, on June 14, Adams posted on Twitter threats to kill 55th Circuit Court Judge Roy G. Mienk and his wife. Michigan’s 55th Circuit Court covers Clare and Gladwin counties.

Adams’ sentencing guidelines are yet to be calculated. Per the plea agreement, prosecutors are recommending Adams’ eventual sentence not exceed the bottom of the guidelines’ range.

According to an affidavit contained in court files, the FBI on May 5, learned a Twitter user with the handle “RHnegHumanoid” was making threats online. The Twitter account bore the screenname “J Adams” next to its handle and was cross-linked to a Reddit account titled “rhnegativehumanoid.”

Law enforcement doesn't bend itself into a pretzel trying to figure out if someone's threatening a judge, they just go after the person. Meanwhile, I'm guessing that Adams' neighbor, his wife and their children are really glad to see him face the music for his actions.

He somehow got a rancher to kill this kid's parents and then he ground them up and put them in a pot of chili that he made. He even got the kid to eat some before revealing his "special ingredient".

They simply don't take these threats seriously, this guy is going to get almost no time.
