The vitriol hurled at Mayor Latoya Cantrell feels different. I wonder what’s different about this mayor . . . Could it be that she’s the first female and she’s also Black?

New Orleans has had a serious issue with crime for decades, but now that we have the first woman mayor, suddenly everything is her fault.
