Just got a text "Trump Arrested" on my phone. I come here with no such headline. Anyone else?

I feel like senders who traffic in fake news like this should be drawn and quartered Heads on pikes.

ok ok that's quite over the top. But this sort of thing just sends me through the roof.

It's like Sydney Powell's source who hears from ghosts.

"I just got a text" that says I won a cruise vacation, that my Amazon delivery was delayed, that my social security benefits have been revoked and numerous other spam and spurious messages.

Might as well say, "I heard some guy on the corner muttering" for all of the value that "I just got a text" has.

Years ago, I got a tip from one such mutterer who recommended I buy Apple stock. I became a multimillionaire several years later. Come to think of it…maybe the guy was selling real apples.

"You're going to HELL!" on my way into the office.

I said, "I know, but it's only for eight hours" right back.

The problem is that I do want to hear local alerts--including wildfire evacuations, major traffic accidents/closures, weather alerts, and obviously active shooter alerts anywhere nearby. But mixed in are the occasional BS alert--even from local trusted news outlets.

I read and pause/check elsewhere before reacting nowadays...

He achieved his purpose.

He alerted his supporters that an indictment may come soon - so - be prepared to protest for me He gave them a heads up to be ready.

He also created a feeding frenzy on MSM where all they talked about all week was this possible indictment. He was the center of attention.

He got his Party to 'circle the wagons' once again for him.

He also created a basis for more fund raising grift.

He's tired now of all the work he's done this last week.

So the message should have read - Tr**p is Resting.

Was this from a news agency to whom you subscribe for updates?

Otherwise, so what?

I got a text saying I won the Nigerian lottery too.

A red cap with MAGA on it?

An NFT of Trump posed as a superhero?

A dubious erectile disfunction drug?

If so, it may just be a sales pitch
