... that if not stopped it in China but would have mitigated it from the get go. Trump got rid of all
those "things" including an epidemiologist on the ground in Wuhan China and a global pandemic task
force because they were "the black guy's ideas" and Jared sent 18 tons of PPE to China in Feb. of 2020
because he and TFG owed China billions.

He is up there w/Pol Pot, Stalin, and Hitler.

Are you saying the protocols etc., left in place by Obama were GWB's idea? If so, good for him, but it's completely beside the point, which is that all of that was in place until Trump got rid of them!

If you meant something else when you said "it" was Bush's idea, I'm afraid I am lost.,

more truthfully, it was the REPUBLICAN MEMBERS OF THE SENATE that should have given him the boot a week into Trump taking office.

AND the SENATE REPUBLICANS that actively KEPT HIM IN OFFICE FOR FOUR YEARS, massive grifting, and two impeachment votes.

MOST of those same REPUBLICAN SENATORS DIRECTLY AIDED in the J6 insurrection.....to CORRUPTLY reinstall Trump in office....

Don't let them off the hook................

THEY are every bit as guilty as Trump, if not MORE RESPONSIBLE for the entire catastrophe...........

And, the REPUBLICAN SENATORS, are continuing to try and destroy our nation, our Constitution, and our Democracy........

As deserved as this indictment is, whatever comes of it alone will barely begin to punish him adequately for the death and destruction he has caused to our country and the world. But it is a beginning, and hopefully more indictments will follow. And perhaps somewhere along the way, the stress will kill him.

people forget, maybe just burned out, the fact we had so many bodies that they had to be stored like stacks in semi trailers. They don't remember the heroic medical personnel trying to do everything they could to help their patients, working past exhaustion, losing those patients and many themselves becoming patients and dying. While people like Rogan, Carolla etc. did what they could to denigrate preventive efforts in order to prop up their popularity and make money from the suffering.

I remember talking to a young lady in 2020 who had just lost both grandparents to Covid just weeks apart from each other and her telling me she couldn't be there to hold their hand or kiss them one last time. The possible charges in all of the pending cases are one thing. But the callous, self-serving and greedy conduct of that man and his family caused and took financial advantage of the deaths and sickness of millions. The number of total deaths in the US is over 1 million so far with at least that many still with lingering problems after "recovering" from Covid. The "long covid" estimates in the US go as high as 4 million as reported in a January 2023 Kaiser Family Foundation article.

So I'm right there with the OP and as far as his supporters claiming they are concerned he's being treated unfairly let me just say this. The thought of his treatment is far from being what weighs heavy on me.

She had a VA claim that I personally went over. It was a slam dunk. I pulled out all the stops. Trump appointed the slumbag Robert Wilkie who was the worst VA administrator we have ever had, who even went out of his way to denigrate claimants. The VA claim refusal was without merit, and because of COVID we were unable to file an appeal (my mom had kept it in appeals for over 25 years, her husband, my dad, had a severe case of anxiety which the VA covers and I proved it in a case that was over 30 pages long). My mom lost all hope, probably contracted COVID despite us being effectively quarantined for 2 years, she lost her energy to leave the house.

Fuck Trump.

completely. He really caused the unnecessary deaths of thousands of people. No one in my family died from covid, but his poor response to covid to this day effects my life. I have autoimmune diseases and my life has completely changed. We don't socialize, go out to eat, movies, etc. It is just not worth it for me. I finally got my health sorted out, (at 72 years old) and I don't want to risk another long term disease like long covid. I will probably always wear a mask.
