Santorum Staffer Says Women Shouldnt Be President Because Its Against Gods Will

In an article about the reasons Rep. Michele Bachmanns campaign fizzled, the Des Moines Register points to sexism among conservatives, singling out an offensive email written by a staffer to Rick Santorum:
Rival presidential candidate Rick Santorums Iowa coalitions director, Jamie Johnson, sent out an email saying that childrens lives would be harmed if the nation had a female president.
The question then comes, Is it Gods highest desire, that is, his biblically expressed will,
to have a woman rule the institutions of the family, the church, and the state? Johnsons email said.

(50,888 posts)First, the church is not controlled by the President of the USA.
It would appear that he wants the institutions of family to be controlled by men even in families where the man is gone. How does he plan to make that happen? Have the churches demand women consult with them and follow their requirements? As it stands now even in families where both the mother and father are still in the household does not mean the man is doing the better job. And not necessarily according to god's will.
How many times have the lives of children been harmed by men wearing the cloth of the church. What about the lives of grown adults being harmed by men of the cloth demanding that they live a specific way?

(17,600 posts)Santorum should fire him for stupidity if nothing else.
That said I'm sure the basic sentiment does meet with Santorum's approval.
These people are insane and evil.
