The Fire this Time

"Those born to die by fire never drown." -- Irish proverb

Mid-August last summer, Rudy Guiliani was informed that his status had changed from "subject" to "target" in the Georgia investigation of the for defendent's attempt to overthrow the Georgia 2020 presidential election. Rudy, who was scheduled to testify to the grand jury several says later, had to decide if he would take the fifth, as he had been the defendent's attorney and point man in Georgia.

Yesterday, it was reporter that the defendent's legal team had sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland that both complained about Jack Smith, and requested a meeting. There are reports that Mr. Smith's investigation into the defendent's stealing classified documents and refusing to return the is winding down. I will speculate that the defendent was notified that he is a target, and is being offered an opportunity to testify before the grand jury, to explain exactly why he took the classified documents, and what he planned to do with them.

Dementia and alcohol compounded with unrealized ambition are a hell of a way to go. It turns out Rudy was not that different from those he prosecuted in another life. Any sentence in prison will be a death penalty for Rudy who deserves no more sympathy than Trump.

When the historical record, facts, law show the traitor to be crazy, corrupt and criminal, all he can do is claim personal stupidity misdirected by a crummy and expensive legal team.

Tim Parlatore's statement last weekend was interesting. The guy was attempting to assist the defendent as best he could. No surprise about Boris Epshteyn. (Did he change his last name? I thought it was"Badenove" when he was on Bullwinkle?)

It would keep him off the streets and silent (outside the orgasmatron, which is all that matters)
And he might leave women alone.

When the goal is peace and progress, vengeance serves no real good.

We live with the illusion that one can gain by taking away from another.

That's why I chose the orgasmatron. Why not the Iron Maiden? It doesn't matter to me.

Anything to keep him off the streets, just like horse manure.

Go away happy or go away angry. JUST GO AWAY.

I've agreed with Lawrence O'Donnell that the defendent is extremely unlikely to be incarcerated, even after being convicted of serious charges that would land anyone else in federal prison. That it would be far more likely some type of "house arrest." While I've seen more and more intelligent people recently saying the defendent's behaviors could resuly in incarceration, I'd be fully satisfied with conviction an house arrest.

Fyah deh a muss muss tail, ‘im tink a cool breeze

When they light the cane fields on fire, the muss muss (as in mice and rats) think the rustling is the wind, but the fire is approaching their tails.😀😀😀.

some of humanity's greatest wisdom comes from two small islands!

I could be wrong, of course, but the timing leads me to believe I'm correct. I have been, every once in a while. But the timing and behavior are indicators that we will witness a severe melt-down this summer.

are frustrated by what they consider the slow pace that Jack Smith is going at. As was pointed out on Ari Melber's show this week, this is due to his wanting to know why the defendent stole specific documents, and exactly what he was planning to do with the. I'd add "what he already did with some of them." In my opinion, Smith already has a good idea, but wants to nail it down completely. I also think there are some still missing, that the defendent placed elsewhere -- perhaps in other people's hands.

I tell my friends that there has been what to the public seems a slow build-up. But that's because there are not leaks. It will soon hit the tipping point, and things will increase in pace. The defendent's legal team will, of course, attempt to delay events. But they will be unable to slow the melt-down this summer.

I'm in the group that thinks something is imminent. It seems like a request to see Garland is like a last ditch effort to avoid indictment. Those that know say that it is not at all unusual to request such a meeting by litigants, but Garland should simply refer them back to Jack. Most commentators think that Garland will not interfere with this process of at arm's length from the Special Prosecutor.

So, all the "I had the right to take them," "they're mine," "I declassified them with my mind," etc. means nothing. The only thing left is, "Jack! I'll tell you where the missing docs are!"

Keep a watch on the former pres plane, because that's all that's left.

being reported in the news is huge. It seems that Mr. Smith has most likely known of this for much longer that the media & public. It is damning evidence of consciousness of wrong-doing.

I've seen a number of people saying "it all comes down to Garland." Actually, he has left the decision on indicting up to Smith. Though he will certainly review Smith's conclusions, unless there is a glaring error, he will not say anything, for he correctly wants to keep a safe distance for obvious reasons.

And every time the defendent speaks publicly -- the nonsense you quote -- the worse it will be for him in court.
