If so, would that not be evidence that he knows the process and how it works?
Or did he de-classify everything with his magical mind-melding method?
I cannot understand why folks choose to discard all common sense when it comes to this issue?
Ignorance of the law is no excuse except when it applies to the former president?
It's gotten to the point where he could walk into a bank with a gun and we would be arguing about whether he was there to rob the bank or just to show the teller his new Ruger semi-automatic firearm.
After all, how could we know what was in his mind and what was his intent?

(999 posts)Trump truly believes everything is his. When he became President he believed the Treasury was his, he said it was his military. He believed the DOJ worked for him. I get surprised sometimes when this question comes up because it is quite clear that no one other than his father ever told Trump no and came out of that conversation on the good end.
The press knew all about Trump but didn't care because he was good for the bottom line. The far left in 2016 kept telling us on this very website that Hillary and Trump were the same. I cannot tell you how many times I read the same post on this website about Hillary getting paid for a speaking engagement with Wall Street. Meanwhile Trump was having protester removed and roughed up at his rallies and having 26 women accuse him of sexual assault.
So we get Trump and now that he knows how to manipulate the levers of government he wants back in. Trump is a grifter and he knows that as President he cannot be indicted and he will make sure that the DOJ is filled with nothing but loyalists.
Sorry for the rant but if Trump somehow manages to get elected in 2024 is is all over for our democracy and we get what we deserve because we as democrats were too arrogant in 2016 to realize the danger that Trump posed to our democracy.

(14,708 posts)If he did, the documents would have become public and you can't sell them since they are freely available. They only had value if they were classified.
But yes, he did at least try to declassify some documents he felt would expose his enemies. He at one point threatened to declassify the entire "russia hoax" inteligence. He couldnt.
So he does know there is a process.
