but Ryan's messaging did absolutely nothing to motivate the Dem base to get off their asses to for vote him - he invested too much effort in criticizing those in his own party (especially President Biden and Speaker Pelosi) and their policies in an apparent effort to peel off some MAGAT leaning voters. And, yes, the national and state Dem parties could have done more to support his campaign, but most of his problems were self-inflicted.

Why did so many vote for this asshole?

I actually read his book when it came out and at the end of the book my first thought was that he embellished/exaggerated/lied about a lot of his life so it would garner more attention. Without that book, no one would probably know who he even was.

I'm ashamed of my birth state. Glad I don't live there any longer.
