There was a good movie about this case (BREACH). I have it on DVD somewhere in my movie collection. The guy Hassen was a devout Opus Dei Catholic who has some odd sexual habits. It was a good movie and I recommend it.

Personally I'd prefer a needle to ending up in Supermax. 23 hours a day of isolation sounds cruel and unusual to me.
