Products marketed directly to gullible people

Sorry, I was in the middle of posting this and got distracted. Somehow I hit the Post button. Just now back on DU

Here is what I intended to add:

Have you ever stopped in your tracks and asked yourself, “Who would buy a product like this?” You’re not the only one. Some products are overpriced and overrated even though they make no sense to the rest of us.

Do you have some products in mind that only gullible people would be willing to pay for? Check out this list.

Sort of older apartment building. Sometimes when you first run the water it's brown. So I use bottled water for drinking and making coffee.

These are supplements. They cost $100/month and originally you had to sign up for a year. No app or log in. I read that discontinuing them took hours on the phone.

The ads are what’s so funny. Fully adult (older really) people saying how good fruits and veggies are in your diet. They’ve changed the ads a bit now. My daughter and I crack up at the ads. WHO KNEW????

My folks watch Fox News constantly. When I brought it up my mom said “to get all the daily recommended nutrients that THEY say you should, you’d have to eat 10 servings”. The next time I saw one of the ads, that exact line was in it.

I've done a couple free stays in Vegas for the "experience" of the presentation. You really have mentally prepare for it but it's worth three free nights. Like Nancy Reagan said... JUST SAY NO.

Then I got these calls offering to buy it but I had to put up A $2000 deposit to get the process started. Hung up and blocked the number. It was hot humid day in Mexico and we were with or son who is autistic and wanted to swim in the pool at the resort. we were worn done and got taken. Never again will I buy or engage if it's too good to be true!

morning that claims if you send him "Seed Money of $58" you will become rich. He changes the amount like every day some days
it's $58 and others in the hundreds. Some days he will want like 1000 people to send him a few thousand. He literally looks like Satan minus the horns.

Sounds like Mike Murdock. Started on PTL and is on TV a lot preaching the "Plant your seed" gospel. Wikipedia has a good article about him. Pretty damning stuff. John Oliver actually showed him on his Last Week Tonight broadcast on Televangelists. You can Google it and find it on YouTube.

asking for $1000 seed money. One morning he wanted $3500 seed money. You can send it as a lump sum or $100 a month for 10 months.
To think these SOBs take advantage of stupid people mostly the elderly and don't even pay taxes
makes me sick. When my mother was alive she would ask me for money at the end of about every month.
I balanced her check book and would see she sent money to Joel Olsteen (net worth $100 million) almost every month.

I personally think these guys are all frauds. I've watched Murdock a few times on TV. He encourages people in hopeless debt to use their credit cards to send $$$ so the "Seed can grow" and somehow they'll miraculously get out of debt.

They prey on gullible Seniors and the poor. I think they're pure evil.
