They just skim the surface. Headline news, no more nor less. I think it remains up to us to get beyond that.

Of course there are frightening things that happen in the world, but is MSM promoting fear with a heavier hand? Or is the government or are certain industries promoting fear and relaying that to MSM? Playing the "pass it on" game.

Are our brains being shaped intentionally? And is anyone paying attention to that?

It bombards its audience with negative images and expectations then cuts in 15 seconds of a happy lizard selling car insurance. Even the content is advertising.

6. I think it depends on what you watch. We were told in college to use reputable sources in papers.

Newspapers and news agencies like ap, afp, Reuters, serve a vital function. New media is still an unknown, but is starting to fill some for the wholes left by the receding of old media.

Never watch national news on cable anymore...what would be the point? I don't want to buy any gold, or life insurance nor do I need the three billion drugs they push on CNN/Faux Snews.

If THAT is what is left of the M$M...stick a fork in it.
