At that time, Thomas allegedly sent text messages to Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff for Donald Trump, encouraging him to work to overturn Bidens victory and keep Trump in office. Additionally, she was also accused of sending emails to several lawmakers and Arizona election officials, arguing that it was their "constitutional duty" to pick a "clean slate" of electors who would be willing to proclaim Trump the winner in the Grand Canyon State in 2020.

These calls came after it was revealed that Thomas has contributed at least $20,000 to Republican political committees. Federal records stated that Trump has been one of the biggest recipients of her generosity, according to Forbes.
Why yes, there has been quite a buzz recently about the Thomas generosity to others.

But lets look closer at this story
However, social media users have called for conservative activists to also face charges in the wake of actions against 16 Republicans.
Ah, the mob is coming for conservative activists are they. But this, this is something:
These calls came after it was revealed that Thomas has contributed at least $20,000 to Republican political committees. Federal records stated that Trump has been one of the biggest recipients of her generosity, according to Forbes.
Ah, it has been revealed that Thomas is a generous donor of money to others! Thats why they are going after him!
This is an oddly slanted article from a troubling site.

(2,960 posts)... news aggregators pull stories from a variety of sites, some pro, some con, some slanted, some not. As for your interpretations of the material YOU quoted from the article, I think your comments are "oddly slanted."
Or perhaps I've misread your intent. Are you or are you not defending Thomas' "generosity" (for want of a better word) to Donald Trump?

Anyone familiar with my posts, herein, or long before my arrival here, would KNOW that I've a 15 year history of defending liberalism, Democrats, democracy, civil rights, etc. in various forums while incurring a helluva lot of right winged vitriol - and often in very hostile environments.
Regarding the article itself, I'm hard pressed to understand what about it isn't factual. However, if this post (or article) is somehow in violation, I respectfully defer to the forum mods judgment in locking or deleting it.

(30,967 posts)Telling others to steal the election is not enough. Heck, I could call somebody and say that. It's meaningless. But knowing something of Ginni's shenanigans, this is likely the tip of the iceberg. If she provided any monetary support or discussed logistics for the uprising, then she is in hot water indeed.
I would love to topple the Thomas dynasty.

(44,053 posts)Really. Calls "grow"? I suppose if going from one to five is a growing call, sure. But I suspect that there hundreds times that number calling for Biden, Smith, and heaven knows who else to be arrested.
It's a clickbait article.

(2,541 posts)Months... probably years ago. J6 cannot be the first time she has been a key player in trying to get an election over turned/redone.
I wonder how involved she was back in 2000 when the same group of people it seemed like kept showing up at different places to basically demonstrated against the re-count between Florida and DC which ended up with scotus appointing bush jr as president and gore did nothing... except concede the race.
That was such a disappointment. I have always thought he was way too quick to fold and should have pushed back more.

(145 posts)She volunteered to avoid a summons, gave her deposition, then said it was her religious belief that the election was stolen. She believes that that gives her first amendment rights of religious freedom and freedom of speech. Let the Supreme Court unravel that. Will Clarence recuse himself?
