He is not subject to the laws of mortal men and he is just being persecuted by lesser beings. He believes that if he does or did it, it has to be holy. The word, may is a lot like if and nothing at all like will.

To date, he is unpunished for his crimes. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but he is still a free man, raking in tens of millions of dollars and running strongly for the Republican nomination for president. Every day that he is a free man, in his short remaining life, he is winning...

You are fighting regulations and city hall and mayor-councils and environmental groups. You skirt the law, obfuscate, ignore, charm, sue, threaten, and you grind it forward.

A big fish in a bigger bowl needs better tactics, and has to obey the law at times. You see the result.

Then I immediately dismissed the thought. 1. He’s too cowardly. 2. He probably won’t actually believe it till the doors clang shut
