Magazines, Archie comics and Harvey comics, Casper, little Audrey etc. for the 1960s and early 70s. I dont want to throw them out but theres got to be people who collect these old comic books. They are in pretty good shape!
Does anyone know which forum I should go on to sell them?

(63,563 posts)Most of us didn't keep our comics, so people might be willing to pay some money for those, if they're in good condition.

(15,574 posts)I just asked "where can I sell my old comic books"?
And several sites came up. You should probably do a little research to make sure they are legit.
I had a bunch of things like you have and my mom tossed them.

Also, my friend, Richard Alf, was one of the 4 founders of Comic Con and there are collectors all over the place now.

(56,112 posts)If you want to find out if theres anything really valuable, send them a list of what you have. If its no big deal, theyll tell you, but if its anything worth serious money, theyll tell you that, too.

The site is really vast, but youll find comics eventually.
One time, some penniless Iraq vet in Ohio bought an old pamphlet at a garage sale for $8, and sent it down there on a friends recommendation. It turned out to be an original copy of the Federalist Papers from the year 1800. It was in bad shape, so not worth a fortune, but it still brought $80,000 or so, and when they heard he didnt have a buck to his name, they even waived the sellers fee, which gave him an extra $12,000 or whatever it was.

(18,516 posts)click "sold items" on the left hand side of the page. This will usually tell you the price that the item actually sold for, rather than what people are asking for them.
Edit: The only time you won't see the selling price is when it says something like "best offer was accepted".

My Dad would take me to a liquor store across the street from where we lived and brought me 2 or 3 comic books weekly. He Hated the guy who owned the liquor store who was a racist. My Dad gritted his teeth taking me there but he knew my reading comic books would make me a reader!
