(2,442 posts)total population does not equal the same as the eligible voters, many people are under 18 and cannot vote.
approx. 2.5 million voters in Wisc., but that might be the amount of voters in last election. So I did not fact check that amount.
Anyone with the exact factual figure, please post.

(62,270 posts)Here's the page I got the data from: http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/socdemo/voting/publications/p20/2010/tables.html
Direct link to the spreadsheet: http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/socdemo/voting/publications/p20/2010/Table4c_2010.xls
Interestingly 67% registered is much higher than the US total of 59% registered.

(62,270 posts)I do think registered is at least somewhat instructive, though.

(124 posts)Mark Belling today was at a slobbering fit about this claiming Wisconsin had now a balanced budget and Walker had created (insert any number he changes it daily) of jobs for Wisconsin.
One interesting thing I did hear were there were going to be two groups looking into the recall signatures one was part of the republican party and damn I can not remember the other group?

(3,577 posts)A great deal was learned during the summer recalls about how to run this kind of project, so the quality control is much better this time around. The numbers being cited are for good signatures without duplicates as far as the organizers can tell. The disqualification rate should be low.

(16,399 posts)I certainly would want any sigs on a recall of a Democrat to be closely scrutinized, you know how Rethugs are.....but it is important for the forces behind the recall to do their own due dilligence first.
